Christianne Ramos werd op 28 februari 2026 gekroond tot Miss Randstad 2026. Na haar winst stelden wij haar een aantal vragen om Christianne beter te leren kennen.
Vertel eens wat over jezelf?
I was born and raised in the pageant country of the Philippines. I’m also a gamer, so I like to think of life as a game filled with multiple side quests. Because of that, I proudly call myself a Jill-of-all-trades, always curious and excited to explore new paths.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Ateneo de Manila University, one of the most prestigious and top universities in the Philippines, where I studied Interdisciplinary Studies with tracks in Communications and Information Design. Aside from speaking my native languages, English and Filipino, I also pursued German Studies as a minor, and over the years I’ve studied Spanish, Farsi, and now Dutch.
During university, I was also very active in sports. I served as captain of our university futsal team and even briefly trained with the Philippine National Futsal Team.
My journey into pageantry started as a fan, but eventually I stepped onto the stage myself and had the honor of representing the Philippines internationally twice. After my pageant stints, I found myself abroad hosting a travel television show in Malaysia, which opened new doors and experiences.
Later, I returned to the Philippines where I started several businesses while also working in the corporate world. But in 2016, life presented me with another unexpected quest: I fell in love with a Dutch man (also a Mr. Netherlands himself), who is now my husband. Eventually, I moved my entire life to the Netherlands.
Once here, I decided to pursue another academic challenge and studied a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. During that time, I was part of a student team from TU Delft that designed and built one of the lightest and smallest rovers intended to be sent to the Moon. Afterwards, I studied an MSc in Global Digital Marketing, combining my technical and creative interests.
I’ve now been living in the Netherlands for almost a decade and have since become a Dutch citizen. Today, I work at a Dutch semiconductor company pioneering ultra-low power neuromorphic artificial intelligence technology, where I contribute my unique skills and background as a creative engineer to the commercial team.
Outside of work, I share my life with my chihuahua named Truffle, and I spend much of my free time exploring multimedia design. As a hobby, I enjoy game design and programming, and creating projection mapping visual experiences, because I love blending creativity with technology.
For me, life is still that game full of side quests in spite being in my 30’s, and I’m always excited to see what the next level brings. For now it’s the Miss Universe Netherlands stage.
Wat wil je bereiken voor jezelf (persoonlijke ontwikkeling) met het meedoen aan deze verkiezing?
As an immigrant to the Netherlands, one of the things I truly hope to gain from participating in this pageant is the opportunity to network, meet and connect with Dutch women from different backgrounds who are strong, inspiring, and passionate about what they do. I believe it’s a beautiful way to build friendships, share cultures, and learn from each other’s experiences.
On a personal level, I also want to show that age should never limit a woman’s dreams. Confidence, beauty, and purpose don’t have an expiration date. A woman’s prime isn’t defined by a number, but by the passion she carries, the wisdom she gains, and the kindness she shares with others.
Through this journey, I hope to continue growing as a person while proving that being confidently beautiful with a heart is truly timeless.
Welke boodschap wil je overbrengen aan de maatschappij tijdens het Nederlandse traject en waarom?
As an immigrant, I experienced what it means to begin a new life in a different country: new culture, new language, and even a new career path. It taught me that starting over is not a weakness, but a form of courage. I hope my story reminds people that immigration should be met with understanding and inclusion, not discrimination, because every person who arrives brings with them dreams, skills, and a desire to contribute.
I also want to speak about age and opportunity. Society sometimes tells us that there is a “right timeline” for success or reinvention. But life is not linear. Starting a new chapter, whether it’s a career, a passion, or a dream is possible at any age. Beauty, confidence, and purpose do not fade with time; they evolve and become even stronger with experience.
Lastly, I hope to encourage people, especially women, to embrace the idea that we don’t have to fit into just one box. We can explore different passions and grow across multidisciplinary fields. In my own life, I’ve moved between pageantry, sports, business, design, engineering, and technology, and I’m still learning every day. I’m simply a small testament that we can become whoever we aspire to be if we allow ourselves the freedom to grow.
Above all, I hope my journey reflects humility, resilience, and the belief that our differences our cultures, our experiences, and even our age are not limitations, but strengths.
Welke eigenschappen maken jou uniek en hoe wil jij dit gaan inzetten in de verkiezing?
One of the characteristics that makes me unique is my interdisciplinary background combined with my experience as an immigrant from the Philippines. Growing up in a culture that celebrates pageantry, community, and resilience shaped my confidence, while moving to the Netherlands challenged me to grow, adapt, and reinvent myself.
I also have what many people describe as a quirky personality. I’m naturally curious and playful about life, and I enjoy exploring many different interests: from technology and engineering to multimedia design and storytelling. Because of this, I often see the world from different perspectives, which allows me to connect with many kinds of people.
My interdisciplinary journey has also shaped who I am. I’ve had experiences in sports, pageantry, business, engineering, and technology. Rather than seeing these as separate paths, I see them as pieces of the same story. My story is one that shows how diverse experiences can come together to shape a person.
During the pageant, I hope to use these qualities to bring authenticity and openness. As an immigrant, I want to represent the beauty of cultural diversity. And through my multidisciplinary background and unique personality, I hope to show that it’s okay to be different, curious, and multifaceted. Sometimes our uniqueness is exactly what allows us to inspire others.

For example, I was once part of a student team that helped design one of the lightest and smallest rovers intended to be sent to the Moon, which still feels surreal to say out loud… literally out of this world.
But at the same time, I also have some pretty unusual personal quirks. I have what’s close to an eidetic memory of my early childhood, so I can still remember several very detailed moments from when I was very young, including when I was less than a year old. That memory also comes in handy for random things, like the fact that I can recognize all 151 first-generation Pokémon. So, if you show me a silhouette of one, there’s a very good chance I’ll know exactly which one it is.
And here’s a pageant-related fun fact: I was almost a flower girl at Miss Universe 1994 when the pageant was hosted in the Philippines. I was already selected and supposed to walk on the Miss Universe stage… but apparently, I threw a childish tantrum, so I got replaced. In a funny way, I like to think life gave me a second chance to eventually find my way back to the pageant stage years later.
So between space rovers, Pokémon, and pageants, my story has always been a little unexpected and I think that’s what makes it uniquely fun.
